One of Pennsylvania's most celebrated natural treasures
and a designated National Natural Landmark —
Ricketts Glen is defined by its legendary Falls Trail,
where 22 named waterfalls cascade through
ancient old-growth forest along Kitchen Creek. The 94-foot
Ganoga Falls is the tallest of them; each of the 22 has a
name, a personality, and a photograph waiting to be taken.
The park stretches across 13,050 acres of Sullivan,
Luzerne, and Columbia Counties — Sullivan County, where
Skynile's Dushore location sits, runs directly through
the park. PA Route 487 south from downtown Dushore is the
primary access road. The full Falls Trail loop covers
7.2 miles and has been called
"the most magnificent hike in the state."
A shorter 3.2-mile loop still takes in 18 of the waterfalls.

Less visited than Ricketts Glen but no less extraordinary —
World's End is Sullivan County's best-kept secret. The park
sits in a dramatic S-shaped valley carved
by Loyalsock Creek through ancient canyon walls, surrounded
entirely by the Loyalsock State Forest.
The signature experience is
Loyalsock Canyon Vista — accessible by car
or via the Canyon Vista Trail — where seven mountain ranges
converge at 1,750 feet elevation to create one of the most
sweeping panoramas in all of Pennsylvania. The park earned
its unusual name from early settlers who believed the canyon's
dramatic drop marked the edge of civilisation.
The Rock Garden, a 300-million-year-old
collection of massive boulders, sits directly across from
the vista. The 59-mile Loyalsock Trail begins here for those
wanting a multi-day backcountry experience.

The forests of Sullivan and Bradford Counties offer something extraordinary in every season. Skynile is open year-round — and the experience outside your dome changes completely with the calendar.

Ricketts Glen:
PA Route 487 South from Dushore (~25 min). Enter via
Lake Rose Trailhead for Falls Trail access. Note: the
steep section of PA 487 from Red Rock is not suitable
for large trailers — enter from Dushore instead.
World's End:
PA Route 87 South from Dushore (~20 min). Follow signs
to Forksville, then PA Route 154 into the park. Roads
into Canyon Vista are narrow, unpaved, and seasonal.
Tip:
Both parks are remote with limited or no cell service.

Falls Trail (Ricketts Glen):
Sturdy hiking boots (rocky, steep terrain), trekking
poles recommended, 2L water minimum, snacks. Trail is
rated difficult — take your time on the stone steps.
Canyon Vista Trail (World's End):
Same footwear, layers for wind at the vista, camera.
The 4-mile loop includes several steep sections.

Insect repellent (summer), rain layer (waterfall spray),
cash (limited card acceptance in the region). Both parks
are open daily, sunrise to sunset.
